Often international development is presented as a one way relationship between givers and recipients. It is actually an exchange. The majority of donors within our network regularly visit the local development agencies that they support, and are able to contribute and learn much more alongside financial support provided. By engaging regularly with local organisations in our network, at Connected Development we are continuously learning new, innovative approaches to achieving community ownership from them. Some of these insights are shared below, and we also aim to give talks regularly to universities, think tanks, and other policy focused organisations.
